阳新是农业大县，随着经济的发展，目前逐步形成了机械制造、水泥建材、轻工纺织、医药化工四大支柱产业。

•机械制造及汽车零部件产业：依托原材料和区位优势，以安达汽配、奥莱斯轮胎、信捷及昂运铝轮、台阳数控、永丰金精密机械、华宝钢铁、朗天药械等企业为龙头，不断提高重型铸造、精密铸造、汽车零部件制造、医疗器械及药械制造等生产能力，大力发展光电通讯、新型电子元器件等领域的研发生产。
•Machine manufacture and automobile parts industry: based on advantages of raw material and location, and with Anda Automobile Part Co., Ltd., Aolaisi Tyre, Xinje and Hubei Angyun Alloy Wheel Co., Ltd., Hubei Taiyang Precision CNC Co., Ltd., Yongfenjin Precision Machine, Huabao Steel, Langtian Medical Instruments and other enterprises as leading enterprises, keep improving manufacturing capability of heavy cast, precision cast, automobile parts, medical devices and medical instruments and other production capabilities, and strive to develop R&D and production of photoelectricity communications, new electronic components and other industries.

•纺织服装产业：依托丰富的劳动力资源和麻、棉等农副产品资源，以宝加鞋业、远东麻业、梦娜袜业、龙马制衣、联富箱包、可兴安全鞋、贝贝童婴幼用品等企业为龙头，通过加强产品设计，提高产品质量，开拓市场等手段，扩大纺织服装产业优势。

•医药化工产业：依托富池省级医药化工产业园这一发展平台，强化规划和推进园区建设，走集约、安全和环保之路，大力发展生物医药制剂、农用化工和经济化工产品。
